My work is grounded in a commitment to reducing unnecessary suffering and supporting more conscious, compassionate ways of living and learning. Education and meditation are the two disciplines through which I do this work.

Authenticity, curiosity, and compassion are at the heart of everything I do.

Hi, I’m Alex Thrall.

Background

My name is Alex Thrall. I worked in mainstream education for over fifteen years as a teacher and headteacher, developing a strong interest in how learning, behaviour, and wellbeing are shaped by pedagogy, relationships, and the wider learning environment.

Alongside my work in education, I began practising yoga and meditation many years ago and gradually came to see how, when understood and applied well, these practices could meaningfully support learning, behaviour, and long-term wellbeing in schools. This led me to deepen my own practice and train as a meditation, breathwork, and yoga instructor, so that these practices could be integrated into my educational work with greater clarity and integrity.

I now work across education and wellbeing, offering educational consultancy and tutoring alongside teaching yoga, breathwork, and meditation to individuals and groups. I am also writing about unconscious learning, generational trauma, and how greater awareness can support sustainable change.
