Breathe Yourself Alive
Breathe Yourself Alive offers a grounded approach to movement, breathwork, and meditation that supports living with greater awareness — of the body, the breath, and the patterns that shape how we think, feel, and respond.
My work takes an integrated approach to wellbeing, using the breath to support physical ease, emotional regulation, and a steadier relationship with the mind.
What I offer
Breathe Yourself Alive works with movement, breathwork, and meditation as complementary ways of developing awareness and supporting wellbeing. These practices may be explored individually or in combination, depending on your needs and interests. Throughout all of them, the breath is used as a point of reference — helping you assess capacity, regulate effort, and respond more skilfully to what’s happening in your body and mind.
Movement - Breath-led movement practices — including yoga asana, Qi Gong, and other forms of exploratory or strength-based movement — used to develop ease, stability, and awareness in the body. The breath provides feedback and fuel, helping you work at an appropriate level. This approach supports flexibility, strength, and injury prevention, and can be applied to any form of physical training.
Breathwork - A wide range of breathing techniques used to support specific outcomes - such as emotional release, in-the-moment self-regulation, and cultivating a calm and meditative state. Learning how to use the breath deliberately offers both insight into how the nervous system operates and practical ways to influence your internal state.
Meditation - A range of meditation practices, anchored around the breath in its natural rhythm. Rather than controlling the breath attention is trained through following it - supporting concentration, revealing more subtle layers of bodily and mental awareness, and helping navigate life more intentionally. This helps us reduce and manage difficulty, and cultivate more calm and joy in our lives.

“Learning to meditate has been life-changing. I highly recommend a meditation course with Alex. I felt I was in a very safe pair of hands over our 8-week online meditation course and am so grateful for his guidance. Meditating with Alex is one of my favourite things to do.”

“I started breathwork sessions with Alex during a tricky time in my life. I was suffering from an autoimmune disease and struggling with infertility. The sessions with Alex gave me practical tools to begin my meditation practice from a space of non-judgment.
Inevitably, the practice wouldn’t go as planned some weeks—my mind would wander, and feelings of judgment would creep back in. But Alex’s sessions truly embodied the spirit of the practice itself: all is welcome with an open heart.
He offered just enough theory to give gentle reasoning behind specific breathing techniques or sitting postures, but it never felt overwhelming. It was always grounded and practical—things like where to find guided meditations, and step-by-step advice for starting a regular practice.
What I gained most from Alex’s sessions was the incredible feeling of peace that arises, even for a fleeting moment, when you're truly in tune with your body and can feel the stillness. Of course, those moments can be rare—and learning to be okay with not always reaching that space has been, and continues to be, an important lesson.
His support helped me become more aware of what I was feeling without adding a “second dart” of judgment or resistance. He also guided me to reflect on what I wanted to manifest in my life, and we would weave that into our practice. I’m now happy to say that I’m pregnant, and I truly believe that going through IVF would have been a lot harder without the foundation I built through Alex’s sessions.
Alex is incredibly down to earth, with a wealth of experience, and he tailors each session to your individual needs and preferences.
I can’t recommend Alex more. If you're looking for a compassionate, grounded guide on your journey, you're in very good hands.”
